Context
I implemented all player interaction systems with a focus on accessibility, including a hands-free, head-based tracking solution that allowed users to engage with the experience without controllers. A key design contribution was adapting the hospice’s Tree of Light ceremony, where participants blow out a candle to let go of a memory, a loved one, or something they are holding onto. This idea was translated into a lantern-release interaction, allowing users to release a lantern into a sky filled with others, reframing what is often a solitary and emotionally difficult act into a shared, community-driven moment.
